Experience the way the locals live by sleeping in one of our homestays. Many houses in Cambodia are built on talks to provide shadow and protect that house from the rain and animals. Even though the accommodation is basic , you will like it there. The families will welcome you warmly and show you a more simple way of life. The water which is used for drinking, cooking and washing comes directly from the waterfall. Chambok is fortunate to have clean water available the whole year. Yes. Reservations are required for guaranteed spots on all tours. Reservations help us determine the number of guides we need to ensure that our groups remain manageable and enjoyable, and they allow us to notify you of changes to the tour due to weather or anything that could disturb the tours.
Not at all. Our small group tours are twin-share (single ladies share with ladies, chaps with chaps), there’s no single supplement to pay on the majority of our small group tours. This trip is able to run from 1 pax, however there is no surcharge for solo traveler, we will match you with another same sex solo traveler. Of course if you’d prefer to have your own room (at a little extra cost) we can arrange this on most trips. Let us know when you book.
Set in for adventure tourists, Vana Tour’s tours are generally an international crowd with people often coming from Australia, New Zealand, Europe, The United State, Singapore, Japan and Malaysia
If you want to bring gifts for local people please ensure they are useful, like pens or school books and not lollies. We urge you to distribute gifts in an organised and responsible manner – either through the headmaster of a school or the director of a charity. You could even ask your tour leader for advice on the most beneficial approach, and they might have ideas of what you could buy locally that would be useful. Some children, and even adults, might ask for things as you pass them on the street or in villages. Handing them something might bring you each a moment of joy but it only encourages begging and is destructive in the long term.
Yeah! You can make it. It’s your trip, with your group, on your schedule with your friends and family that play together, stay together.
