Explore the peaceful countryside of Phnom Penh by bicycle where you’ll encounter experience with the real life of local people, mango plantations, lemongrass farms, Khmer sedge mat weaving village and silk weaving workshop of the Mekong River. This moderate biking adventure is for those who love cycling and able to manage in 40km distance through the flat terrains of the Phnom Penh countryside.

After we cycle through the countryside, farmland and visit sedge weaving workshop, we continue to another handicraft village where you’ll learn more about Khmer silk weaving and enjoy the local lunch with them. A final we have a short ride to the ferry and get on our supported vehicle back to your hotel. This leisurely discover of Phnom Penh countryside, offering the chance of real-life local experience in Cambodia.

  1. Day1 Bike to countryside & lunch with local farmers

    We will pick you up at your accommodation from 7:30am and have a short transfer to our meeting point at the Areyakhsat ferry dock which located near the diamond island.   At the arrival point, we saddle up our bike, check the brake and our cycling guide will make short brief of the bike, traffic and our tour. Then, we get a local ferry crossing of the Mekong River and reach to the Phnom Penh countryside which about 5- or 10-minutes’ drive on the ferry. Continuously, we cycle through the local farmland where the farmers crow some mangos, bananas, lemongrass, papayas, corns and other vegetables farm as long as we cycle through the Khmer local villages. After we bike through the farms and have a short break to enjoy with Khmer local deserts or fruits, we will visit sedge weaving workshop where they make by hands and part of the local income beside of the farming and fishing. After we experience with a local weaver for the sedge weaving, we cycle more through the farms, paddy rice fields and lotus farms as well, before we having lunch at the local people house and learn more about silk weaving at there. Silk weaving and sedge weaving are the Khmer traditional handicraft and top range in this region.  A final, we have short cycle more through the corn farms and getting on another ferry to get back to your hotel by our support vehicle.

We do suggest you to bring appropriate clothing to fit the season and a day pack to carry extra snacks and water. Here is some of the items that you can on it:
