🌿 Aural Mountain Trekking Journey – August 2025 🌿

The forest was alive with the calls of the Cambodian Laughingthrush, echoing through the misty valleys of Aural Mountain. From 21–23 August 2025, Vana Adventure Travel led a 3-day trek to Cambodia’s tallest peak, joined by a family from France and one of our returning clients from Singapore.

From 21–23 August 2025, Vana Adventure Travel led an unforgettable 3-day trek to Aural Mountain, the tallest peak in Cambodia. Joining us were a family from France and one of our returning clients from Singapore, making this journey not only an adventure but also a shared experience across cultures.

August in Aural brings a unique natural rhythm—the nesting season of the Mountain Imperial Dove. During our trek, we were privileged to encounter a flock of the Cambodian Laughingthrush these rare birds, along with the delicate nest of the Mountain Imperial Dove, a highlight for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts alike.

The trail was alive with biodiversity: carpets of Shampoo Ginger (Zingiber zerumbet), vibrant wild mushrooms and flowers, graceful butterflies, and curious wildlife including the Malayan Lizard and the stunning Orange-breasted Dragon. Each step revealed a new layer of Cambodia’s hidden wilderness.

Evenings were spent in the heart of the jungle, where we embraced a true eco-adventure—two nights under the forest canopy, enjoying local food prepared by Thong, founder of Vana Adventure Travel. This communal dining experience brought warmth and flavor to our wilderness stay, making it an adventure both wild and comforting.
